Saturn, Yes THE Planet

Saturn, Yes THE Planet

Outside of being a random cardboard cutout chilling on my wall, Saturn has many unique qualities that may pertain to one’s interest. Aside from being one out of five planets that can be seen by the naked eye, Saturn is also the flattest of the eight planets. This is due to its low density and fast rotation speed, leading to a polar diameter that is 90% of its equatorial diameter. The planet is made mostly of hydrogen and has a density that is less than water, making it  the least dense planet. An unusual quality, which leads Saturn to give off more energy than it receives from the sun, is generated from the gravitational compression of the planet combined with the friction from large amounts of helium in its atmosphere. Science aside, the celestial body is known to represent dominance, power, and change, adding to the list of how alluring the planet stands to be.
