The Disastrous Life of Saiki

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. is a Japanese manga and anime followed by a series of chapters. It was aired from July 2016 to December 2018 and was directed by Yuichi Fukuda and starred Kento Yamazaki at Columbia pictures. With over 100 episodes, Netflix packed five into each regular length episode. It is a comedy anime where Saiki, the main character, has the ability to read minds, become invisible, levitate, and any other psychic power you can think of. Even though he has the potential power to shatter the earth, he grew up in an environment where he failed to develop social grace while his parents fought a lot about the most mindless things. He acknowledges his experience in his daily life through monologues. Nothing tends to function the proper way in his, but he somehow manages to control and overcome these obstacles regardless. The show does a great job of highlighting the character’s personalities that furthermore lead to construction of jokes for the audience to enjoy. Something notably amusing is that Saiki is not a normal simp but a simp for coffee jelly, and would do just about anything to grasp a hold of it. In conclusion, I would recommend the hilarious anime to anyone interested in humorous shows and who is looking to be cheered up.
